Payments that move your business forward.
Zaxapay is building one platform to send payment links and invoices, let customers pay online, and show exactly when the money reaches your bank account.
Zaxapay is pre-launch. The services on this site are proposed and are not yet available.
- Fees
- −$36.55
- Net to account ••4471
- $1,213.45
Get paid without chasing
Create a payment link or invoice request and share it by email or text. Customers would pay on a hosted checkout, with no account to create.
Know where every payment stands
See each payment as paid, pending, failed, refunded or disputed, and issue refunds from the same screen.
See what lands in your account
Each payout would come with a statement: gross receipts, fees, adjustments and the net amount, matched to the payments it contains.
Paid and settled are two different moments.
A customer's payment succeeding doesn't mean your money has arrived. Zaxapay shows both, and keeps how your customer pays separate from how you're paid, so new methods can be added without changing how you get paid.
“Proposed” marks the services Zaxapay intends to offer first. None is available yet. Each depends on signed provider agreements and the registrations our activities require.
Stablecoins, added carefully.
Stablecoin functionality is future development. We're designing settlement so digital currencies could be added later without changing how you work. The first step we're considering is a provider using stablecoins behind the scenes while you keep receiving Canadian dollars.
What we won't do at launch
- Operate a crypto exchange or trading service
- Hold crypto wallets for customers
- Offer any payment method before its provider and registrations are in place
Tell us how you get paid today.
We're gathering interest from merchants ahead of launch. Share your volumes and the payment methods you need.
Three ways to ask for money.
These are the collection methods we propose to offer. All three would use the same hosted checkout and land in the same transaction list. None is available yet.
Payment links
A reusable or single-use link for a fixed amount. Paste it in an email, a chat, or on your website.
- Set amount, description and expiry
- Share anywhere, no code needed
- See every link's payment status
Invoice payment requests
Attach a payment request to an invoice you've already issued, with its number and due date.
- Reference your invoice number
- Due dates and reminders
- Mark as paid automatically
Hosted checkout
A Zaxapay-hosted payment page for online stores and booking sites. Customers leave your site to pay and return when done.
- Your business name on the page
- Card entry handled by a processing partner, once one is contracted
- Return customers to your confirmation page
What customers can pay with
We list each method with its honest status. A method becomes available only when the provider agreement behind it is signed and live.
| Method | How it works | You receive | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Debit and credit cards | Card payments through an acquiring partner. No card network or acquirer arrangement is in place yet. | CAD | Proposed |
| Bank transfer | Customer pays from their Canadian bank account | CAD | Proposed |
| Interac e-Transfer® | Request-money flow via a participating partner | CAD | Planned |
| USD collections | Invoice customers in US dollars | USD | Planned |
| USDC | Customer pays a supported stablecoin at checkout | CAD, or eligible stablecoin | Future |
Every payout, itemized.
Settlement is how collected payments reach your bank account. Zaxapay proposes to group them into payouts and give each one a statement you can reconcile against your books.
Two statuses, always shown
Each transaction would carry a payment status (did the customer pay?) and a settlement status (has the money reached you?). A paid transaction moves from scheduled to in transit to settled.
Fees you can see
Fees would be deducted per transaction and listed on the statement. Refunds and dispute holds appear as separate adjustments, never folded into totals.
Reconciliation built in
Each payout would list the transactions it contains, with your invoice or order reference, so you can match a bank deposit to the sales behind it, with CSV export for your accounting software.
Schedule
No settlement schedule has been set. It will depend on the banking and processing partners Zaxapay contracts with, and will be published once confirmed.
Built for businesses that invoice and sell online.
Zaxapay is designed around the payment problems we hear most: slow invoice payments, scattered transaction records, and payouts that are hard to match to sales.
Online stores
Send customers to a hosted checkout, then see each order's payment and payout on one screen.
- Hosted checkout (proposed)
- Refunds from the dashboard
- Order reference on every payout line
Agencies, consultants, trades
Attach a payment request to each invoice instead of chasing bank transfers and cheques.
- Invoice payment requests (proposed)
- Deposits and staged payments
- Due dates and reminders
Software and marketplaces
For selected platforms that need to collect on behalf of their users. Any arrangement would be scoped case by case.
- Payment links by API (planned)
- Per-merchant reporting
- Partnership discussion first
Not sure you fit?
Tell us what you sell and how you invoice, so we can understand whether Zaxapay's proposed services would fit.
Fiat first. Stablecoins in stages.
We're adding digital currency in three steps, each only after the one before is working and the provider and registration requirements for it are met. Dates are not committed.
Merchant payments
Payment links, hosted checkout, invoice payment requests, transaction tracking, refunds and settlement reporting. Customers would pay by card or bank transfer and you would receive Canadian dollars.
Stablecoin-enabled settlement
A qualified provider may use stablecoins inside the settlement route where it makes payouts faster or cheaper. Nothing would change for you or your customers: they pay in dollars and you receive dollars.
Direct stablecoin acceptance
Checkout would add a clearly labelled stablecoin option, and you would choose to receive CAD or, where eligible, the stablecoin itself. Any start would be a pilot limited to one asset, one network and one provider.
Controls a stablecoin pilot needs
- Payments sent on the wrong network
- Expired price quotes
- Underpayments and overpayments
- Sanctions and wallet screening
- Refunds and failed conversions
Conditions for each stage
- A signed agreement with a qualified provider
- The registrations our role requires, confirmed before launch
- Tested reconciliation from payment to payout
- Clear merchant terms, including chargeback treatment for card payments
This page describes plans, not available services. Zaxapay does not currently accept, exchange or transfer virtual currency.
Who we are, and how we intend to protect payments.
These are the controls Zaxapay proposes to put in place before offering any payment service. Our regulatory position is stated below.
Merchant verification
Every business would be verified before it could take payments: legal entity, owners and directors, bank account, and what it sells.
Transaction controls
Payments would be screened and monitored for unusual activity, with limits for new merchants that are raised as history builds.
Data handling
Checkout is being designed so card details are entered with a card-processing partner and not stored by Zaxapay. No processing partner has been contracted yet.
Current status
Zaxapay describes itself as a payment service provider. That is a description of our business. It is not a licence, and registration with FINTRAC is not an approval or endorsement of a business. We will hold every registration our activities require before offering them.
Request early access.
We're gathering interest from Canadian merchants and prospective partners ahead of launch. Tell us about your business and how you'd like to be paid.
